  • Article I: Name
    • Jurassic Park Motor Pool (aka "The Motor Pool", "JPMP")

 

  • Article II: Mission Statemement
    • The Jurassic Park Motor Pool is an international automotive and costuming organization dedicated to celebrating the Jurassic Park™ franchise through the creation of replica vehicles based on the movies and other published media. Through the use of these vehicles, as well as props and costumes, and by promoting interest in Jurassic Park™, the Jurassic Park Motor Pool facilitates supporting local charities, communities, events, and individuals.

 

  • Article III: Disclaimer(s)
    • The Jurassic Park Motor Pool acknowledges it is not affiliated with, or endorsed, sponsored or authorized by Universal City Studios LLC and/or Amblin’ Entertainment, Inc. The Jurassic Park Motor Pool is an unofficial fan club dedicated to enthusiasts of vehicles for the Jurassic Park™ film franchise.
    • Members of the Jurassic Park Motor Pool acknowledge they have no claim to either the copyright or intellectual property of Universal City Studios LLC and/or Amblin’ Entertainment, Inc except by any privileges authorized in writing to the Jurassic Park Motor Pool by Universal City Studios LLC and/or Amblin’ Entertainment, Inc. Unless otherwise stated, Members recognize that they are presenting, depicting, and/or portraying replicas of the vehicles (and in some cases characters) from the Jurassic Park™ and Jurassic World™ franchise(s).

 

  • Article IV: Membership
    • Jurassic Park Motor Pool Membership will not be denied to anyone on the basis of race, class, gender, occupation, religion/spirituality, and/or disability/handicap. The Motor Pool is equal-opportunity and non-discriminatory, therefore Membership is open to all persons of adult age (18 years old).
    • Membership can only be granted, revoked, suspended, or denied by majority vote of the Motor Pool leadership. Motor Pool leadership reserves the right to revoke membership at any time, revoked Members will be notified within 24 hours.This right cannot be overruled, overwritten, or superseded by any subdivision of the Motor Pool.
    • Any person who meets all Membership Requirements (see below) and properly submits the approved membership application shall be granted membership by the Recruitment Officer and/or majority vote of the Administrative Council. Those granted membership are considered Members (“Member”).
    • Membership is maintained by active participation in the online group/forums, vehicle ownership, and adherence to all regulations and rules outlined in the JPMP Charter and Guidelines.
    • Applicable rights and privileges will be granted to all Members upon admission and according to their status and participation within the Motor Pool.
    • Members agree to use and display their vehicle per the policies of the Motor Pool when representing the Motor Pool.
    • Members agree to adhere to all local, regional, national, and Motor Pool laws, regulations, and rules at all times.
    • The Motor Pool does not declare, nor collect, any membership dues or fees to maintain membership. Under no circumstances may subdivisions of the Motor Pool collect dues or fees to maintain membership or association.
    • Children/Minors (less than 18 years of age) of Members
      • Members who bring children to Motor Pool events or functions are solely and entirely responsible for the safety and well being of their children.
      • Children of Members must be accompanied by the adult, parent member at all times at Motor Pool events and functions.
      • Children/Minors of Members may not operate vehicles during official events, but may ride along in them.
    • Non-Members are considered the General Public (“General Public”).
    • Membership Requirements (“Membership Requirements”):
      • Must be 18 years of age or older.
      • Must legally own a vehicle that meets all of the following:
        • Vehicle must have a permanent design, paint, or wrap identifiable as a vehicle from the Universal/Amblin Jurassic Park™/Jurassic World™ franchise.
        • Vehicle must be legally owned, in part or in full, by applicant/Member.
      • Must legally own a vehicle that meets one of the following requirements:
        • Is a vehicle that was screen used in any film in the Universal/Amblin Jurassic Park™/Jurassic World™ franchise.
        • Is a vehicle that is a replica of the vehicles present in the Universal/Amblin Jurassic Park™/Jurassic World™ franchise.
        • Is a vehicle that is deemed, by the Administrative Council and/or Recruitment Officer, to be satisfactorily identifiable.

 

  • Article V: Organization
    • The Jurassic Park Motor Pool is comprised of subdivisions spanning multiple geographical locations across the world. Collectively all Divisions, Sections, and Research Groups, along with their respective leadership, form the entirety of the Jurassic Park Motor Pool.
      • Motor Pool Structuring
        • Divisions
          • Large geographic subdivisions of the Motor Pool (“Divisions”) are formed from localized groups of Official Members who choose to operate together.
          • Divisions may form from a group of ten (10) or more members within a common geographic, cultural, language, or other defined area. New Motor Pool Members will, by default, be registered with the Division whose border they reside within.
            • All new Divisions must complete and submit the Division Application form. Once submitted, application will be reviewed by the Motor Pool leadership and approved by majority vote of the Administrative Council.
            • All approved new Divisions will be subject to a six (6) month probationary period before Official Status is granted.
          • Divisions are required to have a Administrative Council Representative.
          • Divisions are required to elect, or appoint, their Division Leader, they may be the same as the Council Representative.
          • Divisions may operate with additional rules or regulations, but may not overwrite, disregard, or violate the established Motor Pool Charter, Operation Protocols, or related documents.
          • Divisions may utilize secondary logos in addition to, but not in place of, the current Jurassic Park Motor Pool brand image.
            • Secondary logos may not include copyrighted, trademarked, or registered images, phrases, or other material.
            • Secondary logos must be approved by the Motor Pool leadership.
          • Official Members residing within the boundaries of an approved Division may request to switch to a different Division, Section, or relinquish any affiliation with any Division, Section, or subdivision thereof. Requests must be submitted to current Division, and/or Section Leader. Approval may only be granted once all affected Division, and/or Section leaders are notified.
        • Sections
          • Small geographic subdivisions of Divisions of the Motor Pool (“Sections”) are formed from isolated groups of Official Members of a Division who choose to operate together.
          • Sections may form from a group of five (5) or more Members within an approved Division.
            • All new Sections must complete and submit the Section Application form. Once submitted, application will be reviewed by the Motor Pool leadership, Parent-Division Leadership, and approved by majority vote of the Administrative Council.
            • All approved new Sections will be subject to a three (3) month probationary period before official status is granted.
          • Sections do not have an Administrative Council Representative, they are represented by their parent Division’s Leader and Council Representative.
          • Sections are required to elect or appoint their Section Leader.
          • Sections may operate with additional rules or regulations, but may not overwrite, disregard, or violate the established Motor Pool Charter, Operational Protocols, Parent-Division Rules, or related documents.
          • Sections may utilize secondary logos in addition to their Division Logo, but not in place of, the current Jurassic Park Motor Pool brand image.
            • Secondary logos may not include copyrighted, trademarked, or registered images, phrases, or other material.
            • Secondary logos must be approved by the Motor Pool leadership.
          • Official Members residing within the boundaries of an approved Section may petition to switch to a different Division, Section, or relinquish any affiliation with any Division, Section, or subdivision thereof. Requests must be submitted to current Division, and/or Section Leader. Approval may only be granted once all affected Division and Section leaders are notified.
        • Research Groups
          • Official Members may form special interest groups focused on the research of a specific vehicle (“Research Groups”). Research Groups therefore are not geographically, culturally, or otherwise defined by physical boundaries. Instead, Research Groups established based on a common, focused interest.
            • Research Groups may form from a group of five (5) or more Members researching and developing the Reference Guidelines for a specific vehicle.
            • Research Groups are required to elect or appoint their Research Group Leader.
            • Research Groups do not have any Administrative Council Representatives.
            • Research Groups may not operate with any additional rules or regulations. All Members participating in a Research Group must adhere to the Motor Pool Charter, Operational Protocols, Division Rules, Section Rules, and any related documents.
            • Research Groups may utilize secondary logos in addition to, but not in place of, the current Jurassic Park Motor Pool brand image.
              • Secondary logos may not include copyrighted, trademarked, or registered images, phrases, or other material.
              • Secondary logos must be approved by the Motor Pool leadership.
            • Research Group Members may participate in multiple Research Groups, unlike Sections and Divisions.

  • Article VI: Leadership
    • Motor Pool Leadership
      • President of the Motor Pool
        • The Office of the President of the Motor Pool is responsible for the entirety of the Motor Pool, it is the President’s purpose to delegate duties, resolve conflict, organize people, information, and records, and to represent the Motor Pool publicly.
          • Chief Executive Officer and Primary Representative of the Motor Pool.
          • Ex Officio of all committees, Divisions, and Sections.
          • Appoints administrators and delegates duties, as necessary, responsibly.
          • Continuously monitors the Motor Pool’s progress and analyzes goals.
          • Trains all leadership personnel, prepares next President for office.
          • Problem-solves by seeking input and exploring alternate decisions.
          • Evaluates, improves, and motivates Official Members and Officers.
      • Vice President of the Motor Pool
        • The Office of the Vice President is the most flexible and valuable position under the President of the Motor Pool. They must assume any responsibility that is required of them and be knowledgeable in all Officer positions.
          • Assists President and Officers with their duties.
          • Acts as President Pro Tem in absence of President.
          • Fulfills role of absent Officers as necessary.
      • Recruitment Officer
        • The Recruitment Officer is responsible for evaluating Motor Pool applicants, granting Membership, and managing inter-Division/Section Member movement.
          • Establishes all Membership Requirements in conjunction with the Motor Pool Leadership.
          • Evaluates and interviews applicants to establish eligibility for Membership.
          • Grants admission to Motor Pool Workshop.
          • Grants Official Membership to Motor Pool.
          • Denies applications and provides constructive feedback as needed.
          • Accomplishes necessary Human Resource needs as directed by the President and Administrative Council.
      • Judiciary Officer
        • The Judiciary Officer is responsible for maintaining order and security within the Motor Pool at all times. All internal Case(s) (see Article XI) and external Case(s) that involve Official Members will be reported to the Judiciary Officer who may choose to observe or resolve said Case(s).
          • Receives, Observes, and/or resolves all Case(s), internal and external (involving at least one Official Member).
          • Sits in on all Case(s), trials, or hearings held by Section Leadership, Division Leadership, and/or Motor Pool Leadership.
          • Determines Disciplinary Ruling when necessary as outlined in Article XI and the Operational Protocols, except when Administrative Council voting is necessary.
      • Merchandising Officer
        • The Merchandising Officer is responsible for ensuring that all Merchandise (See Article X) sold by the Motor Pool adheres to the regulations put forth by this Charter. Furthermore the Merchandising Officer is responsible for approving, criticizing, and denying applications to produce Motor Pool Merchandise.
          • Approve, Correct, and Deny applications to produce official Motor Pool Merchandise.
          • Monitor and Track all approved official Motor Pool Merchandise.
          • Ensure approved Merchandise sellers adhere to Charter regulations.
          • Report to Motor Pool Leadership regularly with currently approved Merchandise, known breaches of the Charter, and pending-approval Merchandise.
      • Publicity Officer
        • The Publicity Officer is responsible for presenting the Motor Pool across mass media, online media, and printed media. They are responsible for maintaining a working knowledge of available media outlets so as to efficiently utilize them.
          • Develops public relationship programs.
          • Writes media releases regarding events, highlights, and achievements of the Motor Pool.
          • Liaise with Official Members and Officers regularly.
          • Advertise all positive aspects and qualities of the Motor Pool.
          • Inform regularly the Motor Pool Leadership of on going media activities.
      • Webmaster
        • Webmaster is responsible for maintaining, coding, and debugging the Motor Pool website, forums, and other online-media. Webmaster must be available to ensure sites are functioning properly, accessible to Official Members, and free of inappropriate content.
          • Maintain websites, social media sites, and forums.
          • Server Administrator Pro Tem.
          • Generate and revise online content, may require working directly with other Officers.
          • Manage email systems.
          • Examine site traffic.
          • Test website on different browsers and hardware to ensure functionality.
      • Appointed Admins
        • General Administrators may be appointed at the discretion of the current President of the Motor Pool. The role of the appointed Administrators will be determined at the time of their appoint. The term will be at-will, either the appointed Administrator or President may terminate the appointment at any time.
    • The Administrative Council
      • The Administrative Council is the primary legislative body of the Jurassic Park Motor Pool. It is comprised of the Motor Pool Leadership (President, Vice President, Recruitment Officer, Judiciary Officer, Merchandising Officer, Publicity Officer, Webmaster, Treasurer, and all President-Appointed Admins), Division Leaders, and Division Council Representatives.
      • The Administrative Council is responsible for all Motor Pool matters that require a vote. Each Member of the Administrative Council holds one vote to cast during policy changes, disciplinary reviews, Division/Section formation/dissolution, and other issues requiring a vote.
      • The Administrative Council is headed by the President of the Motor Pool who is tasked with moderating its body of representatives.
      • Official Members may bring issues and suggestions before the Administrative Council
    • Division Leadership
      • Division Leader
        • The Division Leader is responsible for appointing Division specific officers, delegating duties, event coordination, and ensuring Official Member satisfaction.
          • Elected by Official Members participating actively in the given Division.
          • Acts as the Division's primary representative on the Administrative Council.
          • Ensures Division’s Official Members adhere to Motor Pool policies and regulations as established by the Motor Pool Charter.
          • Trains all Division officers.
          • Enforces Motor Pool Charter and decides appropriate Final Judgements, when appropriate.
          • Oversees dispute resolution within Division.
      • Division Council Representative
        • The Division Council Representative assists the Division Leader in their routine duties as well as providing an additional vote during Administrative Council sessions.
          • Appointed by the Division Leader.
          • Assists in representing the Division on the Administrative Council.
          • Assists Division Leader in routine duties.
      • Division Publicity Officer
        • The Division Publicity Officer is responsible for presenting the Division and Motor Pool across mass media, online media, and printed media. They are responsible for maintaining a working knowledge of available media outlets so as to efficiently utilize them.
          • Develops public relationship programs.
          • Writes media releases regarding events, highlights, and achievements of the Division and Motor Pool.
          • Liaise with Official Members and Officers regularly.
          • Advertise all positive aspects and qualities of the Division and Motor Pool.

      • Division Webmaster
        • Division Webmaster is responsible for maintaining, coding, and debugging the Division website, forums, and other online-media. Webmaster must be available to ensure sites are functioning properly, accessible to Official Members, and free of inappropriate content.
          • Appointed by Division Leader and Approved by Motor Pool Webmaster.
          • Maintains Division website, forum, and social media outlet(s).
          • Maintains Division email systems, if applicable.
          • Tests Division website, forum, and social media outlet(s) on different browsers and platforms to ensure functionality.
          • Reports to Division Leader and Motor Pool Webmaster.
      • Section Leadership
        • Section Leader
          • The Section Leader is elected by Official Members participating actively in the given Section. The Section Leader will act as the Section’s primary administrator overseeing the daily activities of the Section. Additionally they will be the primary event coordinator for the Section.
            • Reports to respective Division Leader.
            • Maintains Section forums, websites, and/or social media pages/groups.
            • Ensures only Official Members participate.
            • Ensures Official Members adhere to all Motor Pool rules and regulations.
      • Research Group Leadership
        • Research Group Leader
          • The Research Group Leader is elected by Official Members participating actively in the given Research Group. The Research Group Leader will act as the Research Groups primary administrator overseeing the daily activities of the Research Group.
            • Reports to the Recruitment Officer.
            • Maintains Research Group forums, websites, and/or social media pages/groups.
            • Ensures only accurate content is presented on Research Group site(s).
              Implements additional regulations as necessary to manage Research Group, pending Recruitment Officer approval.

 

  • Article VII: Elections

  • Article VIII: Policies and Amendments
    • Terms of Use
      • Use of “Jurassic Park Motor Pool” name, abbreviation, logo, or any representation thereof must be approved, in advance, by Motor Pool leadership.
      • Merchandise, advertisements, and other printed materials must be approved, in advance, by Motor Pool leadership before production.
        • Exceptions: business cards, personal vehicle flyers, and other products not bearing the Motor Pool name, logo, or representation other than to identify membership.
      • The Motor Pool reserves the right to revoke use of the “Jurassic Park Motor Pool” name, abbreviation, logo, or any representation thereof if approved Member does not conduct themselves in a responsible manner.
    • Amendments
      • An Amendment is any change made to the Charter after its initial publication (“Amendment”). Amendments may be proposed by any active Official Member of the Motor Pool.
      • Process
        • Amendments to the Charter will be handled by the Administrative Council.
        • Proposed changes should be submitted, in the form of a drafted document, to the Administrative Council for review.
        • Once a satisfactory draft has been developed the Administrative Council will vote to ratify the Amendment.
        • A majority vote by the Administrative Council is required for ratification.
        • Amendments take effect immediately once ratified. They are not retroactive, unless otherwise stated in the Amendment.

  • Article X: Merchandising and Branding
    • Any product, item, or material, digital or physical, bearing imagery, phrasing, or other features designed, or created, to promote, or advertise, either the Jurassic Park Motor Pool (“The Motor Pool” or “JPMP”), the Jurassic Park™ or Jurassic World™ franchises, or any related brands shall hereinto be referred to as “Merchandise” (“Merchandise”).
      • The Jurassic Park™ and Jurassic World™ franchises are copyrighted intellectual properties of Universal City Studios LLC and/or Amblin’ Entertainment, any Merchandise bearing imagery, or ideas, taken from the aforementioned franchises may not be reproduced, marketed, or sold for profit.
      • Merchandise bearing imagery, ideas, or wording (i.e. “JPMP”, “Jurassic Park Motor Pool”, “the Motor Pool”, or names of Divisions) that can be reasonably identified as representative of the Motor Pool, or any of its Divisions from the Motor Pool may only be reproduced, marketed, or sold at cost with sufficient permission and authorization from either the Merchandising Officer, President of the Motor Pool, or by majority vote of the Administrative Council.
        • Merchandise created to promote, advertise, or represent the Jurassic Park Motor Pool must meet established quality and branding guidelines prior to its production.
        • Sale of Merchandise created to promote, advertise, or represent the Jurassic Park Motor Pool without sufficient permission or authorization, OR that does not abide by established quality and branding guidelines will be forbidden. Sale of forbidden Merchandise will be subject to Disciplinary Action.
        • Merchandise created to promote, advertise, or represent the Jurassic Park Motor Pool may only be sold to Official Members. Under no circumstances may Merchandise be sold to the General Public, advertised to the General Public, or otherwise provided to the General Public.
        • The Jurassic Park Motor Pool is based on copyrighted intellectual properties of Universal City Studios LLC and/or Amblin’ Entertainment, due to this the Motor Pool and Official Members is/are NOT authorized to profit from the sale of Merchandise. Therefore, Merchandise may only be sold at cost.
      • The Motor Pool will not manage, intervene in, or endorse, the sale or transactions of non-Merchandise, this includes, but is not limited to, costumes, props, replacement parts, replica parts, and/or products/materials that do not otherwise violate these rules.

 

  • Article XI: Disciplinary Actions
    • It is a goal of the Motor Pool to maintain a safe, productive community for members, thus it recognizes members must be provided a means of protection against misconduct, minor or otherwise. When any member violates the established charter, policies, or protocols the Motor Pool will adhere to the following edicts for all disciplinary actions:
      • The Motor Pool Charter, Operational Protocols, and related documents shall hold precedence over any Division rules, regulations, protocols, or documentation for all matters involving, but not limited to, disputes, misbehavior, disagreements, or other conflicts.
      • Tenets of The Motor Pool Charter, Operational Protocols, and related documents shall be enforced by appointed Division Leadership and Motor Pool Officers. Except in instances where respective Division Leadership or Motor Pool Officer(s) are involved and/or display a conflict of interest, in which responsibility will be assigned by the Administrative Council.
      • Any complaint, issue, or complication (Collectively “Case”) submitted by an Official Member (collectively with any identified parties, known as “Involved Parties) will be addressed first by their Division Leadership (if applicable), then, if necessary, escalated to the Judiciary Officer (in either case, handler known as “Presiding Officer”).
      • Presiding Officer shall mediate all levels of assigned Case(s).
        • First an informal meeting shall be conducted to attempt to reach a resolution between involved parties.
        • In event of an impasse, Presiding Officer shall escalate Case(s) to a formal hearing.
          • Judiciary Officer, if not involved, will have the option to observe any, and all, formal hearing(s).
          • Presiding Officer will present Case(s) to Administrative Council, who shall formulate and issue a final judgement (judgement will include declaration of guilt, any disciplinary actions, or notice of dismissal).
          • Involved Parties will have 30 days to appeal a final judgement. A new hearing will be arranged to address new evidence.
      • In Cases where Involved Parties originate from separate Divisions any relevant Division Leaders, who are not the Presiding Officer, may opt to observe both the informal meeting and/or formal hearing.
      • Disciplinary Rulings (know as “Final Judgements”) may include, but are not limited to:
        • Official Warnings
        • Temporary Suspension of All Membership Privileges
        • Temporary Suspension of Partial Membership Privileges
        • Temporary Suspension of Membership
        • Revocation of Membership
      • Official Members may not be removed from the Motor Pool without majority ruling by the Administrative Council.
